Mobile-first delivery platform for prescription medicine and condition management
Almost half of all adults take a repeat prescription, but 40% of medication isn’t taken as directed. The NHS estimates that 20 million unnecessary GP appointments are related to repeat-prescription admin each year. So improving adherence and possession of medication can save billions of pounds in wasted and unnecessary GP services.
Echo’s co-founders have lived with chronic illnesses for most of their lives and both are acutely aware of the laborious and inefficient system of getting repeat prescriptions on the NHS.
Borne out of this shared frustration with this system, Stephen and Sai created Echo to take the pain out of prescriptions.
Echo removes the barriers to medication adherence, making it easy for patients to order repeat prescriptions via smartphone and have medication delivered for free. Medication is dispensed via Echo’s network of community pharmacies.
